Family therapy usually occurs by utilizing HIPPA approved technologies and conferencing, but parents are welcome to attend in person. At Meridian Mentoring, parents are requested to read "Not By Chance" to help them boost their teen's success during and after treatment.
These sessions provide an opportunity for families to work through sensitive issues together and to support each other, prevent relapse, and plan for a lasting success, upon return home, after treatment.
Counseling at Meridian Mentoring is a collaborative approach to involving the youth, program directors, necessary staff, and parents or guardians to determine the best individualized program for each student.
Student and parents will have to complete therapy assignments before moving on to the next therapy phase. The positive approach to youth development is about investing wisely in our youth, increasing their exposure to positive constructive activities, and instilling values and skills that will guide them the rest of their adult lives.
